Upon waking up

Bukhari

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur

Praise is to Allah who gives us life after He has caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

Morning remembrance

Muslim

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ

Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah, la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah

We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah. Praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, without partner.

Before sleeping

Bukhari

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya

In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.

Food & Drink

Before eating

Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

After eating

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi at'amani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah

Praise is to Allah who has fed me this and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part.

Breaking the fast (Iftar)

Abu Dawud

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

Dhahabaz-zama'u wabtallatil-'uruqu wa thabatal-ajru in sha' Allah

The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

Travel

When starting a journey

Quran 43:13-14

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa inna ila rabbina lamunqalibun

Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it by our own efforts. Surely to our Lord we are returning.

Entering the mosque

Muslim

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allahummaf-tah li abwaba rahmatik

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

Hardship & Forgiveness

In times of distress

Bukhari, Muslim

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

La ilaha illallahul-'Azimul-Halim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim

There is no god but Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne.

Seeking forgiveness (Sayyid al-Istighfar)

Bukhari

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ

Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa ant, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduk, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata't

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I keep Your covenant and promise as much as I am able.

For anxiety and sorrow

Bukhari

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness.

Family & Rizq

For parents

Quran 17:24

رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

Rabbir-hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira

My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.

For beneficial provision

Ibn Majah

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'a, wa rizqan tayyiba, wa 'amalan mutaqabbala

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
